Your donation is tax deductible.  Donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes immediately after making your donation.

In-Kind Donations

We are always in need of professional and business casual clothing. We have locations in Downtown Pittsburgh, Washington and Fayette Counties and will assist more than 3,000 area women in the next year.

We help each woman look her best and feel confident for her interview and her new job, and gladly accept your donations of new and gently worn women’s interview and work appropriate clothing, shoes, purses, accessories, gift cards and cash. Items that are damaged or more than ten years old cannot be accepted.

Don’t have suits? We are in need of professional clothing of all kinds – from khaki pants to lab coats to medical uniforms, chef uniforms and safety uniforms.

CLOTHING DONATIONS

  • All sizes are accepted, but our greatest clothing need is for:
    • sizes 0, 2, women’s plus sizes!
    • maternity wear
    • black casual work pants
    • white and solid colored shells and collared shirts
    • Black, Navy and brown suits and coordinating separates
    • Medical smocks, scrubs and pants
  • Due to limited space, we can only accept items for the current or upcoming season.
  • Please clean or dry clean your items (keep your dry cleaning receipts as this is also tax deductible)
  • Suits and dress blouses must be on hangers
  • Undergarments – NEW with tags or in unopened packages

ACCESSORIES AND OTHER ITEMS

  • Closed toe shoes in black, navy or brown tones, 3 inch heel or less
  • Non skid black or white shoes and steel toed boots
  • Pantyhose – nude or black- unopened
  • Black or neutral socks or knee-hi’s
  • Business appropriate, versatile purses
  • Jewelry
    • Earrings (no larger than a quarter)
    • Necklaces
    • Working watches
  • Make-up and toiletries – New and in unopened packages
  • Scarves – good or excellent condition
  • Cash donations and Gift cards from Giant Eagle, Walmart and Target are also needed and greatly appreciated

Dress for Success Pittsburgh’s programs are much more than just clothing. Our experienced professional staff ensures that every woman receives the support she needs and every dollar and item contributed is put to good use. Our Professional Women’s Group provides ongoing support and new opportunities for each woman to make sure that she continues to move forward and reach her goals. Our Career Center provides the equipment and facilities to aid an effective job search.
