Dress for Success Pittsburgh is a volunteer-driven organization. Our volunteers work directly with our clients as client managers as well as participate in committees, planning events and supporting our operations. We are actively seeking adults of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in helping women achieve personal goals and self-sufficiency. Career Center Volunteers:
Career Center offer computer resources and coaching to clients who are still active in their job search.Volunteer in the Career Center during business hours to provide assistance with: resume writing and critiquing, cover letter writing, interview preparation, goal setting, on-line job searching, financial planning, personal budgeting, and other topics.

PWG Volunteers:
The Professional Women’s Group PWG (link) is the second component of Dress for Success Pittsburgh and focuses on our clients who have successfully obtained employment. Accordingly, customer participation in PWG is by invitation only. Currently, the Pittsburgh and Fayette branch locations have a PWG program in place. PWG offers continued support to our customers and seeks to bolster their confidence by offering a variety of personal and professional development workshops and networking events.
If you have a professional background in communications, human resources, employment, personal wellness or financial services and are interested in presenting to groups of women, mentoring or working one-on-one with a client as a consultant, we would love your help with PWG.
Present at Professional Women’s Group meetings on topics related to the core PWG subject areas: Written Rules of the Workplace, Unwritten Rules of the Workplace, Financial Literacy and Work/Life Balance. Meeting are currently held on the last Tuesday of every month from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Participate in a One-to-One Mentor Relationship with a woman who is just starting her career. As a mentor you will help a PWG member set 1-3 short-term goals and provide her with guidance and opportunities to achieve it.
